Blueberries are a delicious and healthy snack. However, you may be wondering how long they can sit out. Unfortunately, blueberries do not last very long once they are picked.

Once picked, blueberries can last for about two days. After that, they will start to mold and become unsuitable for eating. <\/p>\n \n

If you’re like most people, you probably have a tendency to leave fruits and vegetables out on the countertop or in the fridge for far longer than you should. After all, they’re just going to end up getting thrown out anyway, right? WRONG.

Many fruits and vegetables, including blueberries, can become contaminated with foodborne pathogens if they’re left out at room temperature for too long.\n\n So, how long can blueberries sit out before they become a safety risk? Unfortunately, there’s no definitive answer to that question since it depends on a number of factors, including the ambient temperature and humidity level.

In general, though, you should try to consume any berries that have been sitting out within two hours.\n\n Of course, you can extend the shelf life of your blueberries (and other produce) by storing them properly. Keep them in the fridge in a sealed container and they should last for a few days.

But, as always, it’s best to err on the side of caution and eat them sooner rather than later. <\/p>\n \n
