If you’re not familiar with sous vide, it’s a method of cooking in which food is sealed in a bag and placed in a water bath. The water bath is maintained at a constant temperature, usually lower than what you would use for traditional cooking methods. This results in food that is cooked evenly throughout and is often very tender.\n\n

One of the things that can be confusing about sous vide is the pronunciation. Is it “sue-veed” or “soo-veed”? The answer is both!

The original French pronunciation is “sue-veed,” but it’s become more common in the United States to say “soo-veed.” So, whether you’re pronouncing it the French way or the American way, you’re doing it right! <\/p>\n \n
