Adding yeast nutrient to your homebrew is vital to ensure a healthy fermentation and to produce a beer with the best possible flavor. The amount of yeast nutrient you need to add per gallon (batch size) depends on the gravity of your wort. For example, a lower gravity wort will require less yeast nutrient than a higher gravity wort.

In general, you should add 1\/4 teaspoon of yeast nutrient per gallon for a standard 5-gallon batch of beer. This can be increased to 1\/2 teaspoon per gallon for higher gravity worts. <\/p>\n \n
