Rice is a cereal grain and one of the most important food crops in the world. More than half of the world’s population consumes rice as a staple food. It is a major food source for Asian countries, where it is usually eaten with other dishes.

In some parts of the world, rice is also used as a main ingredient in soups and stews.\n\nThere are different types of rice, but they can broadly be classified into two categories: white rice and brown rice. White rice is the most popular type of rice consumed around the world.

It has been milled to remove the husk and bran layers, leaving only the endosperm. This makes white rice more tender and easier to cook, but it also means that it has less nutritional value than brown rice. Brown rice still has its husk and bran layers intact, making it more nutritious but also harder to cook.<\/p>\n \n
