If your chair arms are looking a little worse for wear, you can easily give them new life with a little fabric and some stuffing. Here’s how to reupholster chair arms in a few simple steps.\n\n\n\n1. Remove the old fabric from the chair arms.

Use a scissors or utility knife to carefully cut away the staples or tacks holding the fabric in place. If the fabric is glued on, you may be able to peel it off in one piece.\n\n2. Measure and cut new pieces of fabric to fit the chair arms, allowing extra for wrapping around the edges and stapling in place.\n\n

3. Place the new fabric over the chair arm and staple or tack it into place, starting at the center of one long side and working your way out toward the corners. Wrap the fabric around to the underside of the arm and staple or tack it in place there as well. Repeat for each arm.\n\n

4 . Trim away any excess fabric, being careful not to cut into the new upholstery job.<\/p>\n \n
