Outdoor chair cushions get a lot of wear and tear from the elements and from sitting on them, so they often need to be reupholstered. You can do this yourself with some basic tools and materials. First, remove the old fabric from the cushion, being careful not to rip or damage the foam inside.

Then, measure and cut new fabric to fit the cushion, allowing for about an inch of extra fabric all around. Pin or staple the new fabric in place, then start sewing it on using a curved needle and upholstery thread. Start at the center of one side and work your way around, making sure to pull the fabric taut as you go.

When you reach the end, knot off the thread and trim any excess fabric.<\/p>\n \n
