Is your chair mat starting to curl up at the edges? If so, it’s time to unroll it. But before you do, there are a few things you need to know.

First, make sure the mat is made of plastic. Some mats are made of vinyl, which can’t be unrolled. Second, take a look at the mat and find the seam.

The seam is where the two pieces of plastic that make up the mat are glued together. Finally, find a hard surface on which to unroll the mat. A carpeted floor won’t work because the carpet will prevent the mat from lying flat.

Once you’ve found a suitable spot, follow these steps:\n\n1. Place your hands on either side of the seam and gently pull apart. You should feel some give as the glue starts to loosen.\n\n

2. Continue pulling apart until you’ve opened up a gap that’s about six inches wide.\n\n3. Insert one end of a ruler into the gap and use it to pry open the seam a bit wider. Be careful not to tear or damage the plastic matting as you do this step .\n\n

4 Once you’ve opened up the seam enough, grab hold of one side of the mat and start unrolling it away from you . As you unroll , keep an eye out for any places wherethe plastic is sticking together . Ifyou see any , stop and separate them before continuing . <\/p>\n \n
