If your office chair has a tendency to lower itself whenever you get up, there are a few things you can do to stop it. First, check the tension knob on the back of the chair. If it’s turned all the way to the left, that means there’s no tension and the chair will lower itself.

Turn it to the right until you feel some resistance. This will make it so that when you stand up, the chair won’t lower itself as much. Another thing you can do is adjust the seat height.

The higher up you have the seat, the less likely it is to lower itself when you stand up. Finally, if none of those things work, try putting a weight on the back of the chair (like a stack of books). This will help keep it from lowering itself as well.<\/p>\n \n
