Old chair seats can be repaired with a few simple tools and supplies. First, remove the old seat from the chair frame. Next, use sandpaper to smooth any rough edges on the seat frame.

Then, cut a piece of plywood or particle board to fit the seat frame. Be sure to measure twice and cut once! Once the new piece is cut, glue it in place with wood glue and clamp it until dry.

Finally, re-upholster the seat using fabric and batting. Attach the fabric to the underside of the seat with staples or upholstery tacks.<\/p>\n \n
