You can freeze fresh fish from the supermarket, but it’s important to do it properly. Otherwise, you may end up with fish that is freezer-burned or has an off flavor. When freezing fish, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap or place it in a freezer bag.

Squeeze out as much air as possible before sealing the bag. Label the bag with the name of the fish and the date frozen. For whole fish, you’ll need to allow about 1\/2 inch of space for expansion.
