It’s happened to all of us. We buy a big bag of frozen veggies, use some for dinner and then put the rest back in the freezer only to find out later that they’ve thawed out. Can you just stick them back in the freezer or do you need to cook them first?

According to the USDA, it is safe to refreeze both cooked and raw vegetables that have been thawed as long as they were kept at 40\u00b0 F or below during thawing. However, there may be some loss of quality due to moisture loss during thawing so it’s best to use them within a day or two if possible.<\/p>\n \n
